Everyday
a Christmas Celebration Day
Many
of us have heard the comment, “that little baby sure has changed their family, their
marriage, their whole world forever”.
The
night Jesus was born I am quite certain no one could imagine how much Jesus would
influence and alter the world as no other could. Jesus affected world events,
world culture and our very own personal lives.
“…but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be
afraid!” he said.
“I bring you good news that will bring great
joy to all people. The Savior-yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David!
(Luke 2:10 NLT).
Famous names we all know like Martin Luther, Roman Catholic prelate Fulton J. Sheen, Presbyterian preacher Peter Marshall, Jewish scholar Joseph Jacobes, novelists like Pearl S. Buck, Lloyd C. Douglas, Carl Sandburg, Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, and humanitarian, Albert Schweitzer, Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mother Teresa of Calcutta all had one thing in common—the enormous impact of Jesus Christ on their lives.
The
birth of one miracle baby named Jesus, is still able today to make a profound
change in the life of anyone who believes. Christmas comes each year with the
keepsakes and the customs, but for those who believe in Jesus— there is so much
more!
God
gifted us with the miracle of unconditional love, forgiveness and eternal life,
a hope that never existed before He was born. And Jesus is still able to change
an ordinary life into extraordinary one, and make every ordinary day into a
Christmas day celebration.
“The
hope of the world lies in the Christmas message: Immanuel, God with us.”
James
Steward, from Quiet Places of the Heart”.
