His Answers are Timely and Wiser Than Our Prayers

Here it is just a few days into winter and already I hear them say on the news, “Will spring be late this year?”

“Do not be anxious about anything, instead pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank him for all he has done. Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:6-7 NLT

I know that today the sun is hidden by heavy gray clouds, and the daffodil bulbs are hidden down deep beneath the frozen ground, but they don’t worry if the sun will shine again, or what strength they will need to push up out of the ground to thrive and bloom.

So, I find great comfort in God’s Word that all nature knows-from flowers to song birds, our Creator understands what we need. We can depend on His timing to be perfect in all seasons of life.

Oh, beloved, let us not say the sun will never shine again, or worry if the flowers will forget to bloom, or if God can understand our needs and the cry of our heart. For He is wiser than our most ardent prayers, more faithful than our greatest efforts to be strong on our own.

Oh the joy and comfort of knowing― God’s answers are wiser than our prayers, greater than all our fears and timelier than man can ever imagine.
