Joy of Wonder

Joy of Wonder
Children can surprise us with their wonder at things we might take for granted. One time years ago, when I took my four year old son to the park to see the spring tulip display he suddenly stopped and said in awe, “Mommy, who made these flowers so many colors!”
 “God did,” I said.
“Wow, He sure does it good!”
Children so often remind us of why Jesus said to have a child like faith. For kids are continually filled with wonder, and that’s exactly how God wants us to be too, and He wants us to enjoy it!  Because the Lord knows age has nothing to do with being filled with wonder, it lives in the heart of one who loves and trusts in Him.
Many, Lord my God, are the wonders you have done, the things you planned for us. None can compare with you; were I to speak and tell of your deeds, they would be too many to declare.” Psalm 40:5 NIV

When we are filled with the joy of wonder, when the awe of God fills our hearts, this then is our most beautiful act worship of Him.
