Life is Happening Right Now

“This is why I tell you not worry about every day life-whether you have enough food and drink

 or enough clothes to wear. Isn’t life more than food, and your body more than clothing?...

       So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries.Today’s trouble is    enough for today. Matthew 6:25-34 NLT

 

    While sifting through a well-worn devotional book I inherited from my sweet and dear mother-in-law, I found a little handwritten note inside. I’m not certain who wrote the note in this old copy of Springs in the Valley by Mrs. Charles E Cowman in 1939, but the truth of it still hits right at home in my heart.

Life is what is happening right now. This is it, it is well-and it’s all okay.

Life isn’t happening after: The bills are paid, or when- A cure is found. Or when -reconciliations abound. Or when -A promotion is achieved. Or when-the wedding takes place. Or when-we are vacation bound. Or when-The baby is born. Or when retirement begins. Life is happening here and now. This is it- it is well- and it’s all okay!
